Innovate Finance has announced the finalists for Pitch360, its first ever FinTech startup competition, which is scheduled to take place on day two of its Global Summit 2017 at Guildhall London on Tuesday, April 11th.
Pitch360 will see the startups competing in eight categories, which includes Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cross Border Payments, Cyber Security, Financial Inclusion, Personal Finance, Peer-to-Peer and Alternative Funding, and RegTech.
The startups selected under the Blockchain category includes:
Applied Blockchain: A blockchain applications development firm, specialising in smart contracts and distributed ledger technology. With previous experience of enterprise IT architecture, big data, AI, integration and solution delivery, the company build solutions that include enterprise components, independently audited by third parties, and ready for use by clients that operate in regulated markets.
Block Ex: BlockEx is a Digital Asset eXchange Platform (DAXP) – built for creation, issuance and exchange of digital assets. It’s a HFT capable exchange for next generation financial assets built using Blockchain technology. BlockEx also offers custom Blockchain solutions and digital asset creation for governments, regulators and FIs.
Juru: Juru is an open platform for your online identity. It facilitates users’ daily life by centralising all their documents and activities in a blockchain, allowing them to share what they want, with whom they want, at any given time.
The chosen startups at Pitch360 will pitch at for six minutes in front of a global audience in the Great Hall at the Guildhall. Judges for the event include Brett King, Bestselling Author and Presenter of the Breaking Banks podcast, Kosta Peric, Deputy Director, Financial Services for the Poor at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Maria Gotsch, President and CEO at the Partnership Fund for New York City and Rumi Morales, Executive Director and Head, CME Ventures at CME Group.
The winner will receive a cash prize of £10,000, top policy and legal advice from Innovate Finance partners, complimentary membership to Innovate Finance, two complimentary tickets to the 2018 Innovate Finance Global Summit and much more.
