ArcelorMittal’s third-quarter 2026 consensus leaves four broker estimates out of adjusted profit measures because the forecasts had not yet been appropriately updated for the expected Ukraine impairment.
The sell-side consensus, compiled by Visible Alpha from estimates dated Oct. 30, puts EBITDA at $1.972 billion, adjusted net income at $652 million and adjusted earnings per share at $0.84. ArcelorMittal published the figures Nov. 2 and said Visible Alpha collected and aggregated the estimates; the company did not collect or compile them. The figures are analyst estimates, not reported third-quarter results.
The announcement lists estimates from 12 brokers. It marks estimates from Bank of America, ING, Keybanc and Wells Fargo as not yet appropriately updated to reflect the impairment, and excludes them from adjusted net income and adjusted EPS. The named analysts are Reinhardt Van Der Walt, Stijn Demeester, Samuel Mckinney and Timna Tanners, respectively. The release specifies the exclusions for those two adjusted measures.
The anticipated noncash charge is tied to idling ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, the company’s Ukrainian subsidiary. In a Sept. 25 announcement, ArcelorMittal said attacks had prevented a safe and sustainable restart of operations there. Four missile strikes occurred over five weeks, and the company projected an impairment of about $1 billion, largely tied to assets at the site.
The attacks killed five people and injured 17 employees, one critically, the company said. Mauro Longobardo, CEO of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, said the company had concluded it could no longer safely operate the facility. ArcelorMittal is scheduled to report third-quarter results Thursday, Nov. 5.
