Arcoma AB’s third-quarter earnings picture split: pretax profit climbed as sales contracted, with North America the only growing region among those detailed in the Swedish imaging company’s report.

For the quarter ended Sept. 30, net sales totaled SEK 26.225 million, down from SEK 29.887 million a year earlier. Pretax profit reached SEK 2.968 million, compared with SEK 1.991 million. EBITDA rose to SEK 4.146 million from SEK 3.861 million. EBITDA margin was 16%, while gross margin came to 45.7%, versus 13% and 41.3%, respectively.

Arcoma identified North America as its strongest market, with sales up 11% year over year. Europe declined 25%, and Asia, the company’s smallest market, fell 97%. Arcoma said shifts in customer investment and longer purchasing decisions contributed to sales fluctuations between quarters.

CEO Mattias Leire said results benefited from the sales mix and aftermarket pricing, as well as lower logistics costs and more efficient production. The report linked lower depreciation mainly to development projects from earlier years that had largely been depreciated. Arcoma expects to release camera-based workflow features in the fourth quarter of 2026.

For January through September, net sales were SEK 88.953 million, compared with SEK 96.140 million in the same period of 2025. EBITDA was SEK 7.890 million, down from SEK 10.221 million. Third-quarter cash flow from operations was positive at SEK 4.170 million, compared with SEK 3.926 million a year earlier, while total cash flow was negative SEK 629,000. The prior-year total included SEK 10.418 million in proceeds from a share issue. Arcoma reported SEK 30.356 million in cash at Sept. 30 and no interest-bearing debt.

The board has proposed a mandate to buy and transfer shares through the next annual meeting, with Arcoma’s total holdings capped at 10% of its shares. The board says the authority would offer flexibility over the company’s capital structure and allow shares to help finance acquisitions. The proposal has not been approved. Shareholders are due to vote on it Nov. 25.
