Argentina is considering Patagonia for more data centers as President Javier Milei seeks expansion, amid criticism over the facilities’ electricity use, noise and appearance, France 24 reported Nov. 2.

The government sees Patagonia as a possible location, the report said. It also described residents and lawmakers in multiple countries objecting to data center construction, citing high power demand, noise and the facilities’ visual impact.
