Three Binance deposit addresses received a combined $4 million on Nov. 2 from wallets Arkham associates with the attacker; the firm said the addresses may be linked to outside trading platforms.
Arkham said the funds went to three Binance deposit addresses. It described them as possible accounts used by intermediary trading firms that serve customers through a larger exchange's infrastructure.
Such businesses sit between Binance and the people trading through them. Arkham's account suggests Binance may hold assets for those firms and provide liquidity for their activity.
Binance put losses from its Oct. 29 hot-wallet compromise at $6.3 billion.
