SAN RAMON, Calif., Feb. 20, 2018 -- Armanino LLP, one of the top 25 largest accounting and business consulting firms in the U.S., today announced the Armanino Foundation is committed to four community service volunteer vacations in 2018. This comes after the Armanino Foundation announced it has a 35 percent participation rate among the firm’s staff and partners, more than 3.5 times the national median of 9 percent employee participation in corporate social responsibility programs, according to CECP and The Conference Board. The private foundation donated more than $215,000 to charitable organizations nominated by staff and partners in 2017, its first year of operation.
“We believe the Armanino Foundation enjoys widespread support from our team members because giving back to the community has always been a core commitment of Armanino as a firm,” said Mary Tressel, board chair of the Armanino Foundation. “Our grant funding addresses serious needs in the communities we work in and our volunteer vacations allow partners and staff to spend their vacation time on coordinated community service projects throughout the country and abroad.”
Beginning this summer, the Armanino Foundation is sponsoring four volunteer vacations where staff and partners use their personal vacation time to travel around the country or abroad, donating their time to worthy projects.
2018 volunteer vacations include:
- Habitat for Humanity homebuilding in Guatemala City, Guatemala
- Beach Conservation in Maui, Hawaii
- Various volunteer activities at Give Kids the World Village, a nonprofit resort for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families in Kissimmee, Florida
- Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery homebuilding in Houston, Texas
In 2017, the Armanino Foundation supported nearly 60 nonprofit groups throughout its communities across the United States and abroad. Charitable gifts were sent to organizations committed to health and social services, education, animal welfare, and the arts. Additionally, 19 team members and friends of the firm participated in volunteer vacations for the Catalina Island Conservancy and F.A.R.M. (Farmers Assisting Returning Military) in Dallas, Texas.
