This year’s class of partners averaged less than 10 years with the firm before making partner, well below the industry average of 16 years, a testament to these individuals’ talent and Armanino’s focus on providing its staff with opportunities to grow their careers and become leaders in the profession. Many in the class are alumni of the firm’s Managers’ Advisory Board, a committee that leads firm wide business, community and culture initiatives.

Armanino’s new partners
Michael Bossi, audit partner, is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office and has more than 15 years of public accounting experience. He has particular experience serving real estate clients, including commercial and residential developers, builders, shopping center operators and investors. He provides expertise in a wide range of areas from audit and M&A to internal controls review and tax planning.
Chris Carlberg, partner, helps lead Armanino’s day-to-day operations and serves as the firm’s general counsel. He also helps drive the firm’s organic and inorganic growth, through the development of new consulting solutions and partnerships, and by leading the firm’s M&A transactions.
Jason Gilbert, audit partner, works at the firm’s San Ramon office and has specialized expertise in the real estate lending sector, including private equity funds, real estate crowdfunding and peer-to-peer portals. He also is a key member of the firm’s private education practice.
Timothy Guderian, tax partner, is based in the firm’s San Jose office and has more than 25 years of experience working with high tech, software and internet clients. He specializes in Section 382, ASC 740 (FAS 109), SOX compliance, M&A and tax audits.
Larry Hancock, partner at AMF Media Group, a media and communications division of Armanino, where he manages strategy, brand marketing and leads the full-service communication agency’s client services team.
David Hersch, tax partner, works at the firm’s San Ramon office where he serves the specialized needs of clients in the mortgage pool and real estate sectors. He has deep expertise in pass-through entities and individual taxation.
Katerina Starkova, audit partner, is based in the firm’s San Jose office and has more than 15 years of public accounting experience in the United States and Canada. She serves SEC and private companies with an emphasis in the life science and technology industries. She had an integral role in creating the firm’s Women’s Advancement Network initiative, where she serves as its chair.
Ryan Teed, audit partner, works at the firm’s San Ramon office and has more than 15 years of public and private accounting experience. He serves private, SEC and nonprofit clients, and specializes in the technology, employee benefit plans and manufacturing and distribution niches.
Yu-Ting Wang, tax partner, is based in the firm’s San Jose office and has more than 15 years of experience working with a variety of closely-held businesses and individuals.
