SAN RAMON, Calif. , May 08, 2018 -- Armanino LLP, one of the top 25 largest accounting and business consulting firms in the U.S., today announced registration is open for its annual Nonprofit Symposium in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Dallas. Titled “The Perfect Storm,” the one-day event will focus on the convergence of regulation and recovery that nonprofits need to survive the coming year, from tax reform to natural disaster preparation. For the first time, the event expands to Dallas, showcasing Armanino’s deep breadth of expertise in nonprofit issues in the region.
“We truly saw a ‘perfect storm’ affect nonprofit organizations over the past year,” said Paul O’Grady, partner-in-charge of Armanino’s nonprofit practice. “The Nonprofit Symposium is designed to help nonprofit finance leaders prepare for significant challenges ranging from changes in nonprofit financial reporting standards, lease accounting, revenue recognition and the tax code, to preparing to withstand natural disasters.”
The symposium will be held in three separate locations:
- San Francisco at Hotel Nikko on May 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Los Angeles at Montage Beverly Hills on May 30 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Dallas at Omni Frisco Hotel on June 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The symposium will feature keynote speaker Robert Egger, president of LA Kitchen, who will challenge fellow nonprofit leaders to think bigger, act bolder and go back to their communities with a renewed sense of purpose and passion. L.A. Kitchen recovers locally sourced, cosmetically imperfect fruits and vegetables to fuel a culinary arts job training program for men and women coming out of foster care and older men and women returning from incarceration.
