Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong highlighted a way for customers to place crypto perpetual-contract orders through agents linked to a chosen language model, revisiting trading access the exchange had introduced earlier.
After connecting a model, a customer can give trading instructions to an agent, which places the perpetual-contract order on Coinbase.
Coinbase described agent trading of crypto derivatives in June and said in August that agents could trade derivatives across several markets. EconoTimes previously covered the addition of PONS and CASHCAT perpetual markets to Coinbase's lineup. Armstrong's latest announcement concerns the trading process, rather than a new contract listing.
Perpetual contracts are derivatives without a preset expiration date. Armstrong said customers can connect a preferred language model to an agent that places perpetual-contract trades.
