Asana, a work-management company, restored service after a disruption it said reached all regions on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The company marked the incident resolved at 12:10 p.m. EDT (16:10 UTC), and its status page showed all systems operational.
Asana’s first public notice appeared at 11:33 a.m. EDT (15:33 UTC). It named the U.S., EU, Japan and Australia and listed the app, API, mobile service, automations and background actions among the affected services. An update at 11:51 a.m. EDT (15:51 UTC) said the company had identified a cause and started corrective work, but did not say what it was. At resolution, Asana reported that error rates and traffic were recovering after a fix.
Hindustan Times, citing DownDetector, reported close to 2,300 U.S. outage reports at 11:35 a.m. EDT (15:35 UTC). The submissions do not establish how many people or organizations lost access to the service.
Asana’s annual filing reported more than 180,000 paying customers across 200 countries and territories as of Jan. 31, 2026. The company counts a customer as an account, which may belong to a team, company, institution or business unit; one organization may hold multiple accounts. Asana has not said how many customers encountered the disruption. It said it would publish an incident analysis within 72 hours.
