Atos Group’s third-quarter revenue decline eased and its cash measure turned positive, but orders fell short of sales, testing the French IT services company’s progress under its Genesis restructuring.

Atos reported €1.642 billion in revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30. Organic sales at its Atos and Eviden units fell 2.4% from a year earlier, compared with declines of 5.8% in the second quarter and 11.0% in the first quarter on the same basis. Including Global Structures, groupwide organic revenue declined 3.0%.

New orders totaled €1.024 billion, or 62% of quarterly revenue, compared with a 91% book-to-bill ratio in the second quarter. Book-to-bill measures orders against revenue. Atos described third-quarter commercial activity as reflecting usual summer seasonality.

Atos estimated a positive €44 million net change in cash, its first positive quarter on that measure since Genesis began. The figure includes about €50 million in restructuring payments but excludes debt repayments, acquisitions, disposals and currency effects. It does not measure the change in the company’s cash balance.

Estimated liquidity at Sept. 30 was €966 million, including €896 million in cash and cash equivalents and €70 million in undrawn credit. The comparable June 30 figure was €948 million after an adjustment for a €857 million debt repayment completed July 6. Atos’s liquidity measure includes trapped and unpooled cash.

Regional results varied. UK & Ireland revenue grew 30.8% organically to €323 million, partly reflecting a weak year-earlier comparison. Atos said that pace was unlikely to recur. North American revenue fell 19.3% organically to €246 million as the company exited low-profitability contracts and existing clients reduced work.

Atos ended September with 53,071 employees, 2.6% fewer than at the start of July. The company cited its Genesis headcount reduction program as the main reason. Atos Group Chairman and CEO Philippe Salle said its “turnaround is not complete.”

Atos maintained its 2026 forecasts for an organic revenue decline of about 5% across Atos and Eviden, an operating margin of about 7% and a positive net change in cash. It plans to release full-year results Feb. 26, 2027, before markets open.
