Avalanche (AVAX) fell more sharply than Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) over 24 hours early Tuesday, putting its price below $9 as all three assets declined in the same market snapshot.
CoinGecko and exchange spot data put AVAX at $8.34 as of 3:48 a.m. ET (08:48 UTC), down 3.17% over 24 hours. Bitcoin was $76,444, down 2.30%, while Ether was $2,249.35, down 2.08%.
At 3:38 a.m. ET (08:38 UTC), AVAX had been $8.32, with a 24-hour decline of 3.22%. The two percentages have different cutoff times and describe separate 24-hour periods.
AVAX pays transaction fees on the Avalanche network and can be staked. A Nov. 1 reading of AVAX showed the token at $8.86, up 4.15% over 24 hours. That earlier quote was taken at a different time and does not establish the starting price for Tuesday’s 24-hour decline.
