The reading was captured at 3:23 p.m. ET (19:23 UTC) on Oct. 25; the hourly block-time figure alone does not establish a record.

A reported Avalanche dashboard snapshot put the network’s block-time measure at 990 milliseconds across a one-hour period, alongside a separate finality reading of two seconds.

The figures were recorded at 3:23 p.m. ET (19:23 UTC) on Oct. 25. They describe distinct timing measures, so the block-time value should not be read as the finality time.

That single hourly reading offers no basis for describing the block-time rate as a record.
