Axiym’s stablecoin payments on Avalanche surpassed $2 billion cumulatively, while a separate Hyundai pilot moved $20,000 between affiliates in about seven minutes, compared with a three-to-four-hour interbank benchmark.
Axiym’s third-quarter 2026 payment volume was $529 million, 4.4 times the year-earlier quarter’s figure. The $2 billion figure represents cumulative volume, while the 4.4-times comparison applies to quarterly activity.
The corporate test involved Hyundai Motor America and Hyundai Motor Mexico, not a consumer card payment. Dollars were exchanged for Tether (USDT) for the transfer over Avalanche, then converted back into dollars in Mexico. Transfer and verification took seven minutes on average.

A planned follow-up proof of concept would involve Hyundai entities in Europe and use local currencies to examine foreign-exchange costs. Circle and Visa are among the partners.
