BIO-key will showcase its full range of fast, secure, convenient and cost-effective authentication solutions, including:
Software
- Vector Segment Technology™ (VST) - highly accurate, scalable, NIST-tested fingerprint-based biometric identification solution.
- WEB-key 4.0 - supports Multi-factor biometric capabilities on the web and Windows-based biometric authentication as well as enabling users to authenticate from the cloud, eliminating the need for passwords, Prox Cards, PINs and One-time Passwords.
- ID Director – Biometric authentication platform that integrates into Microsoft’s Active Directory networking protocol; ID Director is widely used in healthcare for Electronic Health Record platforms and Identity Access Management.
Hardware
- BIO-key’s line of high quality, value-priced compact fingerprint readers: SideSwipe, SideTouch, EcoID and SidePass, which support a range of user applications including Windows Hello and recently announced WebAuthn, a specification that will allow all three major web browsers to secure user authentication online. BIO-key readers are bundled with OmniPass Consumer, a biometric-enabled password management application that enables users to easily develop and manage complex and unique passwords for each application. The solution substantially increases the security and efficacy of passwords by managing, storing and retrieving complex passwords following biometric user authentication.
- BIO-key's full range of TouchLock biometric and bluetooth enabled locks will also be demonstrated at connect:ID, including Bluetooth Smart Padlocks, TSA Approved Smart Luggage Locks, and Fingerprint Smart Padlocks.
Server-Based Biometrics Panel Discussion
Jim Sullivan, BIO-key SVP Strategy & Business Development, will be a featured speaker during a Knowledge Exchange series discussing the topic: 'Server-based biometrics - Were we too quick to demonize?' exploring the conflict enterprises face when considering the deployment of server based biometrics. While most enterprises today recognize the reliability and authentication benefits of biometrics, many falsely believe that device-based biometrics are the only biometric architecture for application authentication. This panel will discuss the realities of the nomadic nature of many enterprise workforces in retail operations, call centers, healthcare, etc. that create authentication challenges more appropriately addressed by server-based biometrics. The panel takes place Wednesday, May 2nd at 9:35 am.
