Chapel’s Jenner deployment is due Oct. 28. CAS20 token issuance will still require a separate activation.

Under its default setting, Payment Lane reserves 5% of block gas for eligible payments. The change will apply to Chapel, BNB Chain’s test network.

The upgrade will not by itself allow issuers to create tokens under CAS20. BNB Chain has proposed the standard for stablecoin and tokenized-asset issuance, but CAS20 needs a distinct activation, while BEP-702 remains a draft.

Rollout guidance addresses validators and node operators, as well as block builders and application developers. The Chapel hard fork is due at 10:30 p.m. ET Oct. 28, or 02:30 UTC Oct. 29.
