BTCPay Server, a Bitcoin (BTC) payment software project, has not disclosed how many operators reported unauthorized hot-wallet withdrawals or the value of funds lost, leaving the scale unquantified.

The project identified an attack vector while investigating hot-wallet theft reports.

It said the affected installations were running version 2.4.1 or earlier.
