Balancer has started a community-approved wind-down under BIP-928, leaving most pools available for withdrawals as the protocol’s core team ends regular work on a phased schedule.

Balancer core contributor Marcus Hardt identified Oct. 31 as the team’s final day of routine operations. Most pools had moved to withdrawal-only access on Oct. 30, when the protocol’s bug bounty program also ended.

The timetable divides the shutdown into stages: restrictions on most pools and the bounty program came first, followed by the team’s final regular workday. Selected V3 pools have a later endpoint.

Hardt directed users to Balancer’s official channels for information on further withdrawal arrangements. The year leading into the wind-down included a hack, fund recovery and team restructuring.

Some V3 pools received an extension, with the plan setting Nov. 30 for the V3 Vault pause.
