Bausch Health Companies Inc. has scheduled a Nov. 30 cash redemption of its subsidiary’s 8.500% notes, aiming to retire about $643 million in debt before the notes mature in January 2027.
Bausch Health Americas Inc. said its Oct. 28 announcement does not serve as the formal redemption notice. The subsidiary said it planned to send record holders a separate irrevocable notice dated Oct. 29. Holders are to surrender the notes through the Depository Trust Company to receive payment, with The Bank of New York Mellon serving as U.S. paying agent. The company expects to end the agreement governing the notes as part of the transaction.
Bausch Health reported $2.485 billion in consolidated cash and cash equivalents as of Sept. 30, compared with $1.309 billion on Dec. 31, 2025. It also said quarterly cash generation helped lower net debt by more than $500 million. Its third-quarter debt schedule listed $701 million in total principal maturities for 2027; that figure covers the company’s listed maturities for the year, not just this note series.
The company’s 2025 annual report listed $643 million in principal outstanding on these notes at Dec. 31, 2025, and said they mature in January 2027. The planned redemption date is Nov. 30.
