Bayern Munich returned to the top of the Bundesliga table with a 3-1 away win over SC Freiburg on Sunday, Oct. 25, according to ESPN's match report. Bayern scored twice before halftime and added their third in second-half stoppage time, after Freiburg had reduced the visitors' lead to a single goal.

TSG Hoffenheim also won at home, beating Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 at the PreZero Arena, ESPN's scoreboard showed. All three goals came from the 79th minute onwards. Hoffenheim's win and Bayern's victory at Freiburg accounted for Sunday's two completed matches, with both winning sides scoring three goals.

Dayot Upamecano opened the scoring for Bayern in the 16th minute at the Europa-Park Stadion. Serge Gnabry added their second in the 42nd minute, giving the visitors a two-goal lead before halftime. Upamecano's opener and Gnabry's second put Bayern 2-0 ahead before Freiburg scored their only goal of the match.

Freiburg reduced the deficit through a Tom Bischof own goal in the 82nd minute. That brought the score to 2-1 before Michael Olise scored Bayern's third five minutes into second-half stoppage time. The own goal had cut Bayern's two-goal advantage to one, but Olise's finish extended the visitors' lead again.

Olise's goal restored the two-goal margin established by Upamecano and Gnabry. Bayern finished with a 3-1 victory that took them back to first place. Their third goal followed the own goal that had brought Freiburg back to within a goal of the visitors in the closing stages.

At Hoffenheim, neither side scored before Andrej Kramaric converted a penalty in the 79th minute. Alexander Prass made it 2-0 in the 89th minute. Kramaric's penalty broke the deadlock at the PreZero Arena, and Prass doubled the home side's advantage before Max Moerstedt added the final goal in stoppage time.

Max Moerstedt added Hoffenheim's third five minutes into second-half stoppage time, completing the 3-0 scoreline. Leverkusen finished without a goal, while Hoffenheim joined Bayern as winners in Sunday's two completed matches. The home side's three goals all came after the match had remained scoreless until Kramaric's penalty.

Both matches ended with a goal five minutes into second-half stoppage time: Olise scored Bayern's third at Freiburg, while Moerstedt scored Hoffenheim's third against Leverkusen. Those goals completed the scoring in each match, leaving Bayern with a two-goal winning margin and Hoffenheim with a three-goal winning margin.
