Belgium’s Federal Public Service Finance (FPS Finance) said Wednesday it would extend filing time for taxpayers with specific income after a cyberattack led it to temporarily disable MyMinfin and other services as a precaution.

MyMinfin is the route to Tax-on-web for online personal income-tax returns. FPS Finance said it took the services offline while it assessed the incident and worked to secure its systems. A large portion of its other applications remained fully or partly functional.

The agency reported no evidence that information had been exposed or taken at the time of its notice, while its investigation continued.

The extra time applies to online personal income-tax returns with specific income. The official Tax-on-web page lists Oct. 31, 2026, as the deadline for those returns. FPS Finance had not announced a replacement date as of Wednesday, but said it would do so.

Taxpayers who rely on affected services face disruption days before the listed deadline. FPS Finance gave no timetable for restoring the services; its next stated step is to announce the revised filing date.
