Belite Bio, Inc. said Nasdaq approved its transfer to the exchange’s highest listing tier, a change the drug developer expects to bring greater attention from institutional investors.
Trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market was scheduled to begin Oct. 19. Belite Bio said its BLTE ticker would remain unchanged as its securities transferred from the Nasdaq Capital Market.
The company expects the higher-tier listing to improve trading liquidity. That is a projected benefit, not a reported result.
Nasdaq requires Capital Market companies seeking a transfer to meet Global Select’s initial listing standards. The exchange applies the same continued financial and liquidity requirements to Global Select and Nasdaq Global Market companies.
The listing move comes as Belite Bio seeks approval for tinlarebant, its lead treatment candidate for Stargardt disease type 1. The company said its Phase 3 DRAGON trial met its primary endpoint. On Oct. 14, it said it had also submitted marketing applications in Singapore, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Belite Bio said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) accepted its new drug application, granted it priority review and set Feb. 12, 2027, as the target date for agency action.
