BE Semiconductor Industries (Besi) reported third-quarter order value up 96% from a year earlier, while some customers requested delivery of those orders in line with production plans for the first half of 2027. Its fourth-quarter revenue outlook remained broadly steady.
Orders totaled €342.6 million in the quarter ended Sept. 30, up 17% from the second quarter and 96% from the same period in 2025. Reuters reported that analysts polled by Visible Alpha had expected €298 million.
Besi attributed its order momentum to expanding AI capacity. Some customers asked the company to deliver third-quarter orders in line with production plans for the first half of 2027. It did not identify the customers or disclose the value of the affected orders.
The company expects fourth-quarter revenue to be close to the €283.4 million reported in the third quarter, with a range of plus or minus 5%. That forecast keeps the near-term revenue outlook broadly steady even as orders rose from both the prior quarter and a year earlier.
Besi also said orders for its hybrid bonding systems during 2026 had already exceeded twice the total for all of 2025. Hybrid bonding directly joins stacked chips, and Besi makes semiconductor assembly equipment. President and CEO Richard W. Blickman said he expects order momentum to continue in Q4 as the AI capacity buildout progresses.
Reuters reported that Besi plans to begin a €100 million share buyback on Oct. 27. The company scheduled its fourth-quarter and full-year 2026 results for February 2027.
