Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) recorded faster growth in consolidated revenue than in net profit during July-September, while a filing-based operating-margin measure was lower than a year earlier, the company’s unaudited results show.

In the quarter ended Sept. 30, revenue from operations totaled ₹7,327.72 crore (₹73.28 billion), compared with ₹5,792.09 crore in the year-earlier period, a 26.5% increase. Consolidated net profit reached ₹1,540.37 crore (₹15.40 billion), versus ₹1,287.16 crore, up 19.7%.

Using the filed figures, the operating-margin calculation was 27.85%, compared with 29.39% in the comparable quarter a year earlier. BEL did not cite a reason for the decline in its results filing.

BEL put its order book at ₹68,717 crore on Oct. 1. A separate filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) scheduled a results conference call for 5:30 a.m. EST (10:30 UTC) Tuesday, Nov. 3, or 4 p.m. India time. The invitation lists Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Jain, Director (Finance) and CFO Damodar Bhattad S, and Company Secretary S Sreenivas as participants.
