Bharti Airtel’s profit attributable to owners rose 30.9% year over year to ₹8,887.5 crore (₹88.875 billion) in the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026, as revenue grew in India and Africa.

The audited consolidated results put revenue from operations at ₹60,877.5 crore (₹608.775 billion), up 16.7% from a year earlier. Bharti Airtel separately reported net income before exceptional items of ₹9,015 crore, compared with ₹6,792 crore in Q2 FY26. That is a separate measure from profit attributable to owners in the audited filing.

India revenue rose 9.4% year over year to ₹42,308 crore. India mobile revenue increased 10.1%; the company linked that growth to higher average revenue per user (ARPU) and additions of smartphone data customers. For broader India revenue, Bharti Airtel cited its move toward higher-value mobile offerings and momentum in Homes and Airtel Business.

ARPU reached ₹271, up from ₹256 a year earlier. The company added 18.8 million smartphone data customers over the year, bringing that base to 304.6 million, or 81% of its total mobile base.

Africa revenue increased 20.6% year over year in constant-currency terms and 25.7% on a reported basis. Consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were ₹35,240 crore, with a margin of 57.9%.

Bharti Airtel reported quarterly capital expenditure of ₹12,467 crore, including ₹9,908 crore in India. It also reported a separate ₹2,826 crore investment in a land parcel for data-center expansion.

An Oct. 26 company filing scheduled a Nov. 5 board meeting to consider the results, a notice covered in EconoTimes’ earlier report. The company’s results calendar lists Feb. 3, 2027, as the tentative date for its Q3 announcement, subject to change.
