Binance’s Anthropic PBC-linked perpetual contract fell 8.8% over Oct. 14-15, a decline in an AI-linked derivative that came alongside higher U.S. inflation and costly financing for AI infrastructure.
Binance Research recorded ANTHROPICUSDT at 1,827 in Tether (USDT) terms after the two-session decline. Its end-of-week reading was 1,887. Binance’s launch notice identifies Anthropic as the company underlying the contract, but holding the derivative does not confer ownership of its shares. The quoted level is a derivative price, not a share price.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) put September’s 12-month consumer inflation rate at 3.7%, compared with 3.4% for August. Energy prices were 20.4% higher than a year earlier. Binance Research identified energy as a major contributor to the rise in inflation.
The BLS also reported a 6.3% annual increase in final-demand producer prices in September, a figure covered in EconoTimes’ earlier report on producer inflation. The monthly increase was 1.3%, the largest since March 2022.
Reuters reported, citing two people who attended an Oct. 14 investor meeting, that Anthropic’s third-quarter revenue reached $16.8 billion, up 45% from the second quarter. According to the attendees, revenue had risen from $4.7 billion in the first quarter to $11.6 billion in the second. The latest reported percentage increase was smaller than the increase between those earlier quarters.
Binance Research also highlighted CoreWeave’s 9.625% notes due in 2032. It put their price at 76.5 cents on the dollar and their yield at about 16%. The research team described the yield as a sign of costly financing for AI infrastructure.
The BLS is scheduled to release its next consumer price report Nov. 10 at 8:30 a.m. ET (13:30 UTC).
