One October Web3 tally assigned nearly all of its estimated losses to a Binance wallet incident, making the month’s highest 2026 total hinge on one event.

The 45-incident tally put nominal losses at $6.469 billion and attributed about $6.3 billion to Binance, or 97.4% of the total. The monthly figure was a nominal estimate, not a net total adjusted for frozen or recovered assets.

Binance’s Oct. 30 update estimated the incident’s impact at about $6.3 billion and pledged to cover the loss. That figure describes the exchange’s estimate for its incident, separate from the monthly tallies.

A separate 56-event October tally put crypto-security losses at $6.48 billion. It classified roughly $3 billion tied to Binance as frozen and did not provide a net amount after frozen or returned funds. The two counts cover different numbers of events, so their monthly totals are distinct measures.

The 56-event tally compared its $6.48 billion October estimate with September’s $766.49 million, a rise of about 745%.
