The Oct. 19 entry lists a liquidation price of $81,165. Binance’s rules allow a liquidation to reduce a position without closing it entirely.

A $10.33 million liquidation entry on cryptocurrency exchange Binance involved a Bitcoin (BTC) long on Oct. 19, providing a single futures-market snapshot rather than a measure of total liquidations.

Reported in Binance’s perpetual futures market, the entry lists $81,165 as the liquidation price and 9:14 p.m. ET (01:14 UTC Oct. 20) as its time. Its $10.33 million value covers that entry alone. It is not a documented loss for the trader.

Binance’s rules require futures accounts to hold enough collateral to meet a maintenance margin threshold. When that threshold is breached, the exchange may liquidate a trade. The process can reduce an open position without closing all of it, so this entry does not establish whether the entire long was closed.

A separate Binance Bitcoin long liquidation on Oct. 18 carried a value of $11.67 million and a liquidation price of $80,642. The two records cover different events; neither amount measures the exchange’s total Bitcoin liquidation volume.
