Binance said it would absorb losses from a security incident with an estimated $6.3 billion impact as it scheduled more withdrawal access across nine networks.
The next stage was scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. ET Monday, Nov. 2 (04:00 UTC Tuesday, Nov. 3). The exchange said access would vary by asset and network as its security and readiness reviews concluded. Inclusion in the plan does not mean every route is available at once.
The plan covers nine networks: Arbitrum, Base, BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Optimism, Solana, Sui, Tron and XRP Ledger. On BNB Smart Chain, the asset list includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), XRP and Solana (SOL), among others. Binance also included withdrawals for all bSTOCKS.
Deposits remain open. The exchange said demand during the preceding week would help determine which assets return first. This stage follows the initial withdrawal reopening, which covered 15 networks and assets.
Binance’s Oct. 30 update described $6.3 billion as its estimate of the incident’s impact, rather than a final loss. It said it would cover losses with its SAFU fund and company funds instead of passing them on to users.
In that update, Binance said its preliminary investigation suggested a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop had allowed access to a service container and unauthorized withdrawals. The exchange said it had found no evidence that wallet private keys were exposed. It did not present the cause as final.
Binance has set no date for the remaining routes. It said users could check the status of individual routes through its withdrawal and network-status pages as further assets clear review.
