Binance plans to reinvest dividends for holders of ASML Holding (ASML) and Nokia (NOK) bStocks tokens, with account holdings determining who qualifies for allocations funded by share purchases.
Withholding taxes, fees and other costs will be taken from the dividend proceeds before Binance buys additional whole or fractional shares in the corresponding companies. Eligible users will receive the resulting allocations in ASMLB or NOKB, respectively.
A service interruption is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET Monday, Oct. 26 (23:30 UTC). It will cover one-for-one conversions between the underlying shares and their matching tokens, as well as deposits and withdrawals of ASMLB and NOKB. Users will still be able to trade the tokens against USDT during the interruption. Binance plans to restore the affected services after the distribution is complete.
Access is limited to eligible users in permitted jurisdictions, and the tokens do not confer direct ownership of ASML or Nokia shares. Binance has previously outlined a similar dividend reinvestment for holders of Micron-linked MUB. EconoTimes also covered a comparable plan for Dell-linked DELLB holders.
The eligibility review is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET Monday, Oct. 26 (00:00 UTC Oct. 27).
