Funding on UNITREE perpetual contracts settles every four hours at Binance and every hour at Hyperliquid, giving traders different payment schedules for positions of the same size.

On Hyperliquid, the UNITREE contract has an hourly funding cycle. Over 24 hours, that creates 24 settlement periods.

Binance’s UNITREEUSDT contract has a four-hour funding cycle, or six periods over 24 hours. Binance confirmed that schedule in an exchange announcement.

When funding is negative, traders holding short positions pay those holding long positions.

A daily funding estimate assumes rates and prices remain steady across the entire period. The rate applied at each settlement determines the payment for that period.
