XRP’s 24-hour change was 0.26% at the Oct. 18, 6:05 p.m. ET (22:05 UTC) Binance snapshot, which put the spot pair at $1.29 after a 2.14% hourly gain.

The Binance XRP/USDT spot pair was quoted at $1.26 an hour before that reading. XRP’s change over the shorter interval was 2.14%, compared with a 0.26% increase over 24 hours. The two rates cover different lookback periods and end at the same quote.

A one-hour liquidation tally for Binance, Bybit and OKX showed $240,000 associated with short positions and $0 for long positions. A liquidation is an automatic closure of a trading position. The price quote and closure tally describe distinct measurements: the quote came from Binance’s spot market, while the liquidation count spanned three exchanges.

The snapshot ranked XRP fifth by market capitalization, at about $80.06 billion. EconoTimes’ Saturday report on XRP’s 3.03% decline cited a price of $1.31.
