In a post on X, CZ said he cited Binance’s SpaceX Class A shares (SPCX) to show the exchange held assets beyond cryptocurrency. He also said he had not announced plans to sell the shares.

The comments followed social media posts comparing Binance with FTX, CZ said. He said the discussion could leave people with the impression Binance lacked funds. The topic connects with CZ’s earlier comments on customer losses. He also said the assets under discussion were too limited to threaten the unidentified party.

CZ previously said the stake stemmed from a $500 million investment tied to Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter and valued it at more than $1 billion. He described SPCX as an investment for long-term holders and urged people to keep the discussion from becoming adversarial.
