Cryptocurrency exchange Binance will begin clearing debts smaller than $1 in Cross Margin accounts with no qualifying fund activity for six months, using affected users’ available assets while keeping borrowing and trading access open.

The exchange plans to start processing eligible accounts in daily batches at 8 p.m. ET Oct. 26 (00:00 UTC Oct. 27). Total liabilities across all assets must be below $1; an account owing exactly $1 does not qualify, Binance said.

Activity includes moving funds into or out of the account, taking or repaying loans and using trading tools to close positions or settle debt. Older open orders do not reset the six-month inactivity period.

Binance will pay each qualifying debt from assets available in the account. If more than one asset is available, the exchange will decide which to use. Processing will not prevent users from borrowing or trading afterward.

Users may check their account status after the cleanup.
