The forum was organized by a conglomerate of coffee producing countries. It brought together key players from the coffee production chain including exporters, importers, roasters, and traders from the global industry with representation from 45 coffee producing countries including Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, and others. In addition, the event was attended by key players in the coffee industry from around the world.
Attending dignitaries included President Bill Clinton, the Nobel Prize-winning President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, President of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solís, President of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernandez, Executive Director of the International Coffee Organization (ICO), José Sette; and the CEO of the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC), Roberto Velez, as well as representatives of African, Asian and Latin American coffee producers, and coffee roasters such as Starbucks, Nestlé, and Walmart.
