Bitcoin (BTC) options remained tilted toward calls in open positions on Oct. 16, while calls and puts accounted for nearly equal shares of trading, Coinglass data showed.

Open interest in the Oct. 16 snapshot came to $38.14 billion, against $38.50 billion in the prior reading. Trading volume was about $3.90 billion.

Puts made up 39.85% of open interest and 48.44% of trading volume; calls accounted for 60.15% and 51.56%, respectively.

Deribit’s Oct. 30 expiry showed different contracts at the top for trading and open interest. The top three by trading were puts at $80,000 and $79,000, with an $85,000 call between them. For that expiry, the largest open-interest positions were calls at $95,000, $90,000 and $100,000.
