A monitored set of large Bitcoin (BTC) addresses added roughly 84,000 BTC over 30 days, while its latest weekly gain eased and a separate demand estimate remained below zero.

The cohort’s balance reached 3.02 million BTC, a 2.85% increase from a month earlier. Its most recent seven-day change was 16,500 BTC; around the turn of October, the weekly increase was roughly 55,000 BTC.

Apparent demand, a separate 30-day measure, registered minus 23,000 BTC in its latest reading. The indicator had risen from minus 207,000 BTC on Sept. 20 to minus 12,000 BTC on Oct. 8, then weakened again.

A different estimate put Bitcoin whale balances near 3 million BTC, about 60,000 BTC above the roughly 2.94 million recorded in late August. That estimate covers a different period, so the two readings represent separate snapshots.

The balance and demand figures describe different measures. The rising total does not show how holders obtained the BTC or whether they intend to keep it. The tracked group leaves out addresses classified as exchanges or mining pools. Changes in those classifications can alter which addresses are included and revise past totals.
