Two Binance spot readings bracketed Bitcoin’s move below $81,000 Friday: the 6:50 p.m. ET (22:50 UTC) quote was $80,911, down $245 from the reading 15 minutes earlier.

At 6:35 p.m. ET (22:35 UTC), the snapshot had Bitcoin (BTC) at $81,156, or $156 above $81,000; the 6:50 p.m. ET quote was $89 below the threshold. The quotes show that Bitcoin crossed below $81,000 sometime between 6:35 and 6:50 p.m. ET.

Binance’s one-hour measure showed a 0.53% decline through 6:50 p.m. ET; it covers a different period from the 15-minute price comparison.

EconoTimes had previously reported another 15-minute Binance decline that left Bitcoin at $82,740.

A market snapshot 10 minutes after the Binance quote put Bitcoin at $80,604 as of 23:00 UTC, with CoinGecko and exchange spot data showing a 0.76% decline over 24 hours. That daily measure covers a longer period than the Binance snapshots. Bitcoin ranked first among crypto assets by market value. Prices are in U.S. dollars.
