Bitcoin (BTC) was near $82,800 in an Oct. 19 market reading after a weekend dip below $82,000, with higher Nasdaq 100 futures accompanying gains across several crypto assets.
Bitcoin had gained about 1.5% over 24 hours. Nasdaq 100 futures were up 1.3% in an earlier Oct. 19 snapshot, following a week in which the Nasdaq Composite fell 4.5% through Oct. 16.
A Binance spot quote covered by EconoTimes had put Bitcoin at $82,152 on Oct. 18, already above $82,000.
Elsewhere in the Oct. 19 reading, Ether (ETH) traded near $2,430. Arbitrum (ARB) rose about 8% to $0.20, and Uniswap (UNI) gained about 2% to $7.39. A decentralized finance index and a separate index of 80 liquid digital assets outside a top-20 benchmark each advanced about 1.6% over 24 hours.
Separately, the Arbitrum Foundation announced the Arbitrum Stablecoin Growth Program on Oct. 15, setting aside 2 million ARB to encourage sustained use of Global Dollar (USDG) on Arbitrum. Teams need the foundation’s approval to participate. The first 10 approved teams whose USDG total value locked averages at least $10 million over 30 days can each receive 200,000 ARB.
