Coinglass data showed Bitcoin (BTC) options open interest rose to $37.38 billion Monday, while puts led daily trading and calls dominated open contracts, highlighting a split between recent activity and outstanding positions.

The snapshot was recorded at 7:06 a.m. ET (11:06 UTC). Open interest had been $37.23 billion in the previous reading, also reported in an earlier EconoTimes options report.

Calls represented 59.45% of open interest, compared with 40.55% for puts. Trading volume totaled about $2.05 billion over 24 hours; puts made up 51.80% of that activity and calls 48.20%.

A Bybit $78,000 put expiring Oct. 27 ranked first by 24-hour volume. A Deribit $77,000 put due Oct. 28 ranked second, followed by a Binance $83,000 call expiring Oct. 27. The largest open-interest positions were Deribit calls expiring Oct. 30 at strikes of $95,000, $100,000 and $90,000.

Open interest counts contracts that remain active, while trading volume tracks those traded during a reporting period. These proportions show the types of contracts in the data, but not whether traders are taking directional positions or offsetting other exposures.
