Bitcoin (BTC) rose on Binance in the hour through 11:15 p.m. ET Nov. 3, while short positions accounted for most forced liquidations across three exchanges.

Through 11:15 p.m. ET, short-position closures made up $4.7 million of the three exchanges’ liquidations; long-position closures accounted for $170,000. These amounts value positions closed; they do not represent individual traders’ net losses. A short position benefits from a falling price, so a liquidation closes a bearish trade.

At 11:15 p.m. ET, Binance’s BTC/USDT spot quote was $76,873, after standing at $75,907 at 10:15 p.m. ET. The hourly change was 1.27%, while BTC’s 24-hour change was -0.09%. The two percentages cover different windows: one compares the Binance quotes an hour apart, and the other compares Bitcoin with its price a day earlier. The liquidation tally covers positions on three exchanges, while the price reading is for Binance’s spot market.

As of 04:30 UTC Nov. 4, Bitcoin was $76,619, down 0.46% over 24 hours. An earlier Binance market snapshot from EconoTimes showed another hourly rise alongside a negative 24-hour reading.
