Bitcoin (BTC) traded 2.4% above a $76,000 estimated average cost level for short-term holders at 6:55 a.m. ET (11:55 UTC) Sunday, putting the tracked cohort near its estimated aggregate break-even level.

Bitcoin’s market price was $1,861 above the estimate at that time. The cohort figure was $72,800 on Sept. 24 and had reached $73,700 by Oct. 1.

The estimate summarizes the group’s aggregate cost position, rather than what any individual holder paid. It can shift as coins acquired at different prices enter the tracked cohort, but it does not indicate where Bitcoin will trade next.

Earlier EconoTimes coverage put recent holders’ estimated profit cushion at 5.9% following a weekly price decline.
