Across the 2014, 2018 and 2022 U.S. midterm cycles, Bitcoin (BTC) posted sharply different gains in the following year, with the 2022 increase exceeding the earlier two combined.
The period after the 2022 election showed a 131% gain. Bitcoin rose 42% in the year after the 2018 midterms and 14% after the 2014 vote; those two gains add up to 56%. Across all three percentages, the average was 62.3%.
That record covers only those three election cycles. It cannot by itself establish that the votes caused Bitcoin’s price changes or indicate performance after a future midterm.
