A quote placed Bitcoin (BTC) at $80,995.20 on Oct. 17, $4.80 below $81,000, but the missing venue and timestamp complicate a direct comparison with daily lows. The price was down 0.44% on the day.

The quote was not paired with a named exchange or timestamp. ChartExchange's BTC/USD composite data list an Oct. 17 low of $81,262.88, while Investing.com’s historical table lists $81,417 as the low for the Bitfinex BTC/USD pair.

The two daily lows differ by $154.12. ChartExchange's figure was $267.68 above the quoted price, and Investing.com's was $421.80 higher.

Those records do not, by themselves, establish that $80,995.20 was inaccurate. Without the quote's venue and time, the daily lows cannot be confirmed as like-for-like comparisons.
