An Oct. 25 AHR999 reading put Bitcoin (BTC) at 0.50, 0.05 above the dataset’s “bargain” cutoff, while a separate daily series logged 0.4945 at the prior day’s UTC close.
The dataset records 0.4945 for Oct. 24 and 0.5683 for Oct. 1. The former rounds to 0.49 at two decimal places, or about 0.5 at one; it does not round to 0.50.
The open dataset updates daily from Binance BTCUSDT closing prices. Its formula multiplies the close-to-200-day-average ratio by the ratio of the close to a log-log fitted fair-value estimate.
Its methodology labels readings below 0.45 “bargain,” readings from 1.20 to 3.00 “caution” and readings above 3.00 “bubble.” Community convention sets those cutoffs, rather than the calculation itself.
For dollar-cost averaging, the measure is framed as a way to gauge purchase timing. Its Oct. 24 dataset close and the Oct. 25 reading are separate observations.
