Coinglass data showed Bitcoin (BTC)'s share of top-trader accounts positioned net long in dollar-margined futures rose 2.89 percentage points on Nov. 3, the largest increase among five tracked assets.

BTC also led position-share gains in dollar-margined contracts: that measure rose 1.53 percentage points to 64.04%. XRP finished at 66.04% after a 4.72-percentage-point decline, while Dogecoin (DOGE) ended at 73.71%, down 2.22 percentage points. Their account readings rose instead: XRP gained 0.54 percentage points to 75.44%, and Dogecoin added 1.49 percentage points to 77.54%.

Ether (ETH)'s dollar-margined position share climbed 0.32 percentage points to 60.99%, though its account share slipped 1.33 percentage points to 68.16%. Solana (SOL) recorded a 0.28-percentage-point fall in position share to 70.31% and a 0.59-percentage-point drop in account share to 78.7%.

Coin-margined futures produced a separate ranking. BTC's long-position share gained 0.64 percentage points to 73.92%, Ether's rose 1.15 percentage points to 76.5%, and XRP's increased 0.81 percentage points to 78.26%. Solana's reading retreated 0.38 percentage points to 87.86%, while Dogecoin's fell 0.79 percentage points to 78.27%.

Coin-margined long-account shares fell for all five assets, with declines ranging from 0.1 to 0.34 percentage points. For each asset, both coin-margined readings were higher than the corresponding dollar-margined figures. Solana had the highest coin-margined position share at 87.86%, while Dogecoin led in account share at 91.89%, Coinglass figures showed.

The account measure counts the share of top-trader accounts positioned net long; the position measure reflects the long side's portion of top traders' futures position size. Because the two measures track different things, they can move in opposite directions. Futures figures also do not capture a trader's full market stance, since futures positions can offset other exposure.

An Oct. 27 EconoTimes futures snapshot showed dollar-margined long-position shares rising across all five assets, while coin-margined readings were mixed.
