Bitdeer Technologies Group nearly tripled its September Bitcoin (BTC) output from a year earlier, while its latest operating update reiterated about $2.9 billion in previously announced AI cloud commitments.
In its unaudited Oct. 19 update, Bitdeer reported mining 1,355 BTC, compared with 452 in September 2025 and 1,310 in August 2026. The year-over-year increase was about 200%.
Bitdeer put its self-mining hash rate at company-operated sites at 82.3 exahashes per second on Sept. 30, versus 35.0 a year earlier. The production total also includes output from Bitdeer equipment operating at facilities run by other companies.
Bitdeer first disclosed the roughly $2.9 billion AI cloud revenue backlog on Sept. 29. It had stood at about $0.9 billion in August. At its planned 21.7-megawatt A201 data center in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, customer commitments covered more than 70% of capacity, the company said.
If A201 enters service as planned, Bitdeer expects those commitments to generate more than $1.7 billion over five years. Its annualized revenue run rate from contractually obligated GPU orders was about $86 million at both the August and September month-ends. That run rate measures current orders; the backlog represents expected future revenue.
Bitdeer has said it expects to fund its AI cloud build-out through customer prepayments, operating cash flow and financing backed by contracted cash flows. Its Sept. 30 Bitcoin balance was 47 BTC, down from 61 at the end of August. The balance excludes customer deposits but includes BTC pledged as collateral.
In earlier EconoTimes coverage of a later weekly update, Bitdeer reported producing 294.2 BTC and selling the same amount for the period reported as of Oct. 16.
Bitdeer plans to have A201 ready for service in January 2027. It targets April 2027 for full deployment and go-live.
