Bitget will reset its SNDKUSDT futures contract on Nov. 20 to reflect Sandisk’s eight-for-one stock split, changing contract quantities and prices as the shares move to post-split trading.
Sandisk said in an Oct. 29 Form 8-K that its shares are expected to begin trading on a post-split basis at the market open on Nov. 20. Bitget’s planned adjustment will multiply position quantities by eight and reduce average entry prices to one-eighth of their previous levels.
Bitget scheduled the trading suspension from 2 a.m. to 4:10 a.m. ET (07:00-09:10 UTC). Trading may remain paused until 9:40 a.m. ET (14:40 UTC), depending on when the index price updates. During the suspension, users will not be able to place orders to open or close positions, and unfilled opening orders will be canceled.
The exchange says the automatic adjustment is designed to preserve position value, realized and unrealized profit and loss, and isolated margin, so users generally will not need to convert positions manually. If Bitget cannot convert a position because an account is in a risk state or for another reason, it says it will settle that position in cash at the last mark price.
Trigger, take-profit, stop-loss and advanced orders will be canceled and must be set again after trading resumes. Bitget says active trading bots will be terminated about five minutes before the suspension; their positions will be settled at the mark price when the bots stop, which may differ from the price users expect. The exchange recommends that users who want to choose their settlement time terminate bots manually a day earlier.
