BlackRock Investment Institute’s “India: follow the money” outlook, published Oct. 26, projects that the share of newly accumulated household wealth directed to shares, investment funds and debt securities could reach four times its current level within a decade.

The shift could expand the domestic capital available to Indian companies seeking funding.

The estimate concerns future savings flows; it does not report a completed rise in existing securities holdings.
