OTC Exchange Network, a blockchain-based institutional trading network and infrastructure provider, announced that it has joined as a member of the FIX Trading Community.

The FIX Trading Community is the non-profit, industry-driven standards body at the heart of global trading and the organization is independent and neutral that is dedicated to addressing real business and regulatory issues.

The announcement also said that Rosario M. Ingargiola, CEO of OTC Exchange has been named to the Digital Currency & Blockchain Working Group.

“Although OTCXN is already capturing FIX message sequences and storing them on its proprietary Blockchain to drive capabilities like real-time trade match reporting with cryptographic guarantees, I believe that it will take some experimentation and an open dialog among early pioneers to identify and overcome perhaps yet unknown technical hurdles. We hope that we can bring some of our experiences and findings to the FIX Digital Currency & Blockchain Working Group for the benefit of all,” said Ingargiola.
